First Impressions
This book was AMAZING!!!!!!!! I'm pretty sure Wendy Higgins is my spirit animal. I love her to pieces, and this book just solidifies my love. I was so excited when I got this ARC that I might have squealed, a lot. Heck, I read the whole thing in only a few hours. I wish it had lasted longer, but I couldn't put it down! The book starts off really good. I have to say though, right off the bat, it is a lot more inappropriate than the series from Anna's point of view. You have been warned. Also, if you haven't read the series, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. But for those who have, it's heaven.
Characters
I really loved being inside Kai's head. I understand his actions a lot better now. There were still some scenes I would to have liked to see, but what I got was amazing. We didn't see as much of Anna as I though we would, but that's okay. A lot of the book is within Kai's own head. We also get a lot more information into Kai's backstory that he doesn't necessarily tell Anna. I had to hide my eyes in a couple scenes because Kai's thoughts and actions were a tad inappropriate for me, but overall it was wonderful. I really loved getting to know one of the loves of my life a little better.
Writing
The writing was as amazing as ever! The novel was fast-paced and amazing. Also, it was almost five hundred pages. Five hundred pages of perfection. I love it when authors I love write long books. There's not much to say about the writing that I haven't said in other books. If you look at the tags on the sidebar and go to Wendy Higgins, you can find the reviews I've done of all her other books. So far, I have not been disappointed.
World-Building
Most of this world the reader already knows. It takes place in our world. There are a couple locations that we haven't seen before, and they are fairly well described. Most of this novel does take place within Kai's head, which is why we don't get as much of the scenery, but we get a lot of that from Anna's POV.
Over all, and amazing book!!!!!! I can't wait to get my next Wendy Higgin's fix!

Okay guys Kaidan is so swoon worthy. I loved hearing his inner thoughts and omg just I love him.
I loved being able to see inside Kaiden's head. This book has a very different feel - much darker and more serious. I really enjoyed reading events from a different perspective.

“Anna . . .”
“Hmm?” Her voice goes high. She clears her throat.
“Remember when I told you I wanted to introduce myself to every freckle on your body?”
She nods slowly.
“Well, it’s time.”
Blurb: Bad boy Kaidan Rowe has never wanted for anything—money, popularity, musical talent…hot girls—but seducing them is part of his duty as a Nephilim, slave to the demon Dukes. As the son of the Duke of Lust, Kaidan has learned his father’s ways, becoming a master of passion, a manipulator of chemistry. Disobeying his father would mean certain death. Thankfully for Kaidan, he’s good at his job. And he enjoys it. Until he meets Anna Whitt—sweet, smart, feisty, and inexplicably good—the one girl seemingly immune to his charms. The daughter of a guardian angel and a fallen one, she has a certain power over him, one that makes him wish for more than he could ever deserve.

Note #1: I do not recommend reading this book before or if you haven’t read The Sweet trilogy. Not only you will not get a full view of the books but it’ll spoil you big time.
I was meaning to read this book since it came out back in September and now I finally did and it was good and I probably over rated it because it wasn’t really that good in my opinion.
My main struggle with the book it wasn’t the content by itself but rather the way it was delivered. I’m fan of the Sweet trilogy, it’s one of my favorite trilogies and it’s sad it’s not that known.

Alright, so Sweet Temptation offers a look into Kaidan’s head before he meets Anna and through all three books and like I said my main issue was with the delivery. While I was reading the book, I couldn’t stop thinking “wow, this is what a fanfiction would’ve been” and I get why Wendy kept it short but it wasn’t enough.
I like that Wendy wasn’t greedy and tried to release every single book from Kaidan’s POV but ST felt short. Why? Simply because I couldn’t feel anything while reading it. The chapters were too short and I wasn’t fan of combining all three books in one because if I didn’t get to feel what was going on during those glimpses of book one, how could I feel and invest myself in book two? You know what I mean? It wasn’t well executed and it didn’t know the character development that the whole trilogy managed to do and therefore I didn’t sympathize with Kaidan the way I did in the past.

It wasn’t all bad, you know? I truly loved and appreciated learning a bit more about Marna, Ginger, Blake and Kopano and through Kai’s eyes I could see things differently and details and I missed the first time I read the books and I could fall in love with Anna all over again. She’s my favorite character in the whole trilogy and she’s just such a good character. You know how I always struggle with those honest-to-god good characters? Well, Anna’s genuinely a pure of heart girl and I have no problems with her. She gets things done and she’s braver than anyone else. She’s just amazing and it’s because of her, my love for Wendy and her work and the rest of the characters that I’m rated it this high when I’m not happy with the book.
You know what would’ve been great? Instead of giving us all sort of three books in Kai’s POV, Wendy could’ve given us a whole book about them raising their kids and meetings with the other Neph and doing whatever they’re doing now and Ginger coping with Marna’s death and visiting Jay and the baby…. I mean, that would’ve been so much better in my opinion. Or maybe some straight after the fight chapters? I would’ve loved to read how the Neph took their new lives and what they did with them and I could go on and on and on but yeah. Even though this wasn’t what I was expecting, I still enjoyed my reading.

Note #2: Like I expressed before, I kinda realized something. Kaidan said he could only feel lust when someone felt it first, so, my question is: if a guy would’ve (and I’m sure it happened) felt lust towards Kaidan, does that mean he had to act on it? If the twins had to break up a marriage, could they have targeted the wife? What if it was a gay couple? I kept wondering about it because Blake joked about Kaidan being bisexual and I got curious. They work with sins and sins are not exclusive. I’m not trying to open a debate or anything (although if you want, we can totally discuss it) but now that I’ve thought about it, I can’t go back and I think that wasn’t explained in the books. So, if you’re reading this, Wendy, care to explain? (:
Oh, and I absolutely loved those piece of lyrics at the begining of the chapters! Damn, Wendy, kudos for your taste in music.

I missed Kaidan so much. That last chapter got me in tears.
it was really great being inside Kaiden's head and hearing his thoughts, especially during scenes when I so desperately wanted to know what he was thinking and Anna did as well.
some of his thoughts disturbed me: very possessive and male dominant, however it did change. he changed. he went from hopeless to hopeful because of Anna, and he knows that too.
I liked how the book was condensed down, so we read about the main points of the book.
while reading about how both of them struggled while they were away from the other was kind of yucky, I'm sure it's absolutely true. Kaiden was right they absolutely are stronger together. They love and support each other, and it's a truly strong, deep, and pure (this might not be the right word????) bond of love.
Their story has stayed with me for the past 10 months since I first read the books, and I only just reread my favorite scenes from the last book this past January, so this was like another reread, which I extremely loved.
Kaiden's character arc is one of the strong points for me, but I also love Anna's. Seeing her become confident and badass and a warrior angel. There relationship just really makes me happy.

I've expected more from this book but :(
I can't say it ruined Kaidan for me but I am disappointed.
The book feels like it is forced and ...cropped.
You can read it just for fun but I doubt it'll fulfill your expectations and wishes.
