This fell painfully flat for me. I was fighting to finish it out sheer curiosity to see if it got better, and it didn’t. At least for me. I should’ve DNF’d 😬

Idk what it was. The pacing might have been off? I just wanted more pining and angst out of this scenario honestly. I do also prefer when the guy has to work a bit, so this could very much be just a *me* problem. The chemistry felt nonexistent and to top it all off, I found the kids annoying lol. And I LOVE kids in books, but these two were just, again, kind of one dimensional and lacking depth.

I definitely want to try more of Stacy’s books though. I’ve heard really good things! I just don’t think this one was for me. I loved the idea of a woman compromising the man, but this was a letdown for me.

I really enjoyed this one. Edmond and Adeline ended up being perfectly suited for each other so it was a real delight watching their romance unfold. There was passion, humor, a whole lot of swoon, and also pretty good grovel. Once again another engaging story from Stacy Reid.

This book had such a fun premise! I loved how sweet the hero was about Adeline's predicament. The premise is a little wild, but the author did a good job giving everyone strong motivations to go along with this kinda wild plan. I had a wonderful time with this book all the way up until the 3rd act conflict where things fell apart of me. The hero walked away from the heroine when she needed him most and we didn't really see a big perspective change to see that he won't do that again so I lost my faith in the relationship. I definitely want to try out more Stacey Reid books in the future though cause it seems like she writes really interesting premises!

I enjoyed the concept of her compromising him, accidentally.

It took a little too long for my liking for him to warm up. I’m also sensing a theme in this series of instead of just talking to your partner you have to do a huge grand gesture that actually takes longer and your partner feels despondent the whole time. I could do without that. Just have a conversation
