Sometimes the descriptions are overly long but this is classic with Russian literature! I found this book surprisingly easy to get into and even funny at times

I enjoyed following along as the characters grappled with their conscience and developing worldviews; the “murder mystery” narrative was a great backdrop for exploring the psychologies of each individual. I loved Alyosha’s insights as well as the moving subplot with Ilusha.
