Not quite my vibe. The first two-thirds feel like a hint at long term tension coming to a head, satisfying fandom need to see the Robins (potential Bats) and their disparate styles 'have it out', but I wanted more in-depth debate and demonstration of leadership/skill than action sequences. The last unnecessary third of this volume felt lackluster. The overdramatic intros...and the art is just not my fave. A subjective problem, admittedly. 💁🏼‍♂️

I liked this better, for the most part. I was kind of expecting more tussling over the cowl, given the name, but really it was just about making sure Jason didn't end up with it, and that was it. But I thought there was some pretty solid character work in this, which is what I enjoy, and I liked seeing so many different characters. It was good!

Meh. This really just felt like a filler arc, and not even a very cohesive or good one, at that.

The art is gorgeous, sexist panty shots and general objectification of women aside. Tim and Dick come off good. But Jason Todd's characterization is appalling and much of the story seems flimsy. Why is Batwoman on the cover if she isn't going to be a player? I knew from reviews not to expect too much, but I still find myself disappointed.

If you're a Nightwing fan it's worth a read, but Jason's fans should probably skip. There is nothing of the Jason we get in "Under the Red Hood" or "Red Hood and the Outlaws." Just a miserable murdering douchebag.
