I’m a little disappointed with this story, I liked the premise and enjoyed reading about the female characters/ex wives. I liked that we got different perspectives and the interview chapters were a nice bit to include. It matched up nicely with whose character perspective we were following previously. I wasn’t a fan of any male characters, I didn’t like the fat phobic comments, and the ending leaves me feeling disappointed. Even though we don’t get much character development since it’s a short story, I still felt like these characters had so much potential if it was just given a little more. Everything ended becoming rather flat. While I’m all for a sleaze bag getting what they deserved this just left much to be desired. The detectives pretty much gave up before they even started.

A short story that was packed with people who wanted to kill chef and restauranteur Ian. Between his three ex-wives, his girlfriend, his two children and his staff there’s plenty of people who want him dead for a range of reasons. While I didn’t like the character of Ian, I enjoyed this book.
