This series only gets better with every book I read. Brain Andrews and Jeffrey Wilson has done a great job writing this series about John Dempsey. Crusader One is the third book and here we have a sneaky attack on American soil that targets both American and Israeli security services. It leads to missiles all over the middle east and a mission into Teheran for Dempsey. We also have a new struggle for power over Ember. Read the book to find out how it will go. Lots of action in this one. Great writing guys.
These two writers continue to impress the hell out of me. Crusader One continues the Tier One series with the same blistering and thrilling action, but also continuing to deepen the great characters.
From beginning to end, this book is tightly paced and consistently engaging. While I predicted one of the main twists in the story, the final scene shocked me like crazy. It seems with every passing novel, Andrews and Wilson shift this series from a military series to really mix in the murkiness of espionage. I love the way these two have progressed and I’m already partway through the next book.

"'This place', she said, gesturing to the grounds, 'reminds us of our charge. We do our jobs not in spite of these things, but rather because of them. If we stop, or if we fail, then the Tel Aviv that nearly a half-million people call home will disappear.'”
[Israel] At war since creation, yet, people are still blinded by this fact. Terrible. Thanks for writing fella's. Another great read.

This is a realistic military series that I originally picked up just to see if it would be a worthy title to recommend to my students. A covert government black-ops unit gives up their real identities to protect America from terrorist attacks. It is well done and unfortunately relevant to our times.
