This shit is so hopeless. I feel hopeless. I know that was the point. But also fuck how much misogyny and sexual assault on the page there was for the sake of “the story.”

What a disappointing ending. First of all, I couldn’t have cared less about the Pegasus side story. I guess  there was meant to be some sort of philosophical angle? I did care about Seki and Shimizu though. So Punpun finally had his mental break in the prior volume, and was really a picture of cruelty and manipulation. Poor Aiko. The entire situation is gruesome and things get worse. After everything that happens in the end (which SUCKS),
Punpun gets scant jail time. You’re telling me that after all of that, he’s back to living with Sachi and friends?
HUH?

Overall, I’m glad I read the series. I like how Punpun was drawn in all of the different ways at different points in his life and mental state. The art was great. Most of the time, I think Asano does a good job describing depression and hopelessness. I just felt that the ending was unsatisfying and unbelievable.
