AMAZING. This was my first horror genre book ever, and I will definitely be coming back for more.
This story was so enticing and attention capturing. I was constantly sucked in wanting to know what was driving our main girl Ashley's need for revenge. Plus, a hot professor who constantly talks dirty. Yes, please.
I never expected to laugh out loud repeatedly at such well placed dark morbid humor. The inner monolog and character quips were perfection

Hey there, fellow fans of the macabre,

Let me kick things off by saying, "No, For An Answer" by C.J. Riggs hit me like a ton of bricks. This book had me on the edge of my seat from page one to the very end. But fair warning, it's not for the faint-hearted. Riggs dives deep into some heavy stuff, so brace yourself.

The story follows Ashley, who, let's just say, takes revenge to a whole new level after her girlfriend's death. Her rampage against those who bullied Maisie had me cheering her on like a maniac. And then there's The Shadow, this mysterious serial killer lurking in the background, adding even more chaos to the mix. Plus, Ashley's tangled up with Nathan, who had me questioning my own feelings about him.

Riggs's imagination in offing the characters is twistedly brilliant. I found myself oddly amused by the grisly descriptions of each demise, even though I probably shouldn't admit it. But man, the ending hit me like a ton of bricks. I won't spoil it, but let's just say, I ended up having a serious existential crisis in the shower afterward.

And let's not forget the deeper themes here. " No, For An Answer " isn't just about blood and gore; it's a wild ride through grief and madness, shedding light on the struggles women face. So, to all the ladies out there fighting their own battles, this one's for you. You're seen, you're heard, and your fears are totally valid.

Overall, I'm itching to get my hands on more of Riggs's work. Just remember, I'm not your mom, but maybe consider googling a few trigger warnings before diving in headfirst.

Catch you on the dark side,
