I liked the author’s style though it covered a lot of ground I feel familiar with. Really appreciate the toolbox at the end which I will be referring back to!

I love this book! It discusses research and techniques that actually work for helping reduce negative inner thoughts. And there’s lots of techniques to try, so if one isn’t helpful, another hopefully will be. It’s also short and easy to read! I highly recommend.

Phenomenal, Ethan Kross et al have constructed a master class in comparative research regarding our internal monologue and how it matters in our daily lives. Tools to master our own internalized spiraling of chatter, a plethora of experience and scientific research, this is a gem of a book. A book that very well may end up being one of the most integral pop-psychology works to influence the future of cognitive self-help. I look forward to his advancing work and now will be off to delve into some of the acknowledged studies.

This book is offering some valuable and practical advice on handling and managing your inner voice, also full of real life examples.

While I enjoyed the whole book, the Conclusion and The Tools sections are so helpful to have all of the information in one convenient place.
