Self-talk and going inside are the ways I've used to deal with life. The longest conversation you have is with yourself, so you better make it a good one. This book helped uncover mental models, approaches and processes that can improve the conversations that I've been having with myself. Hearing it as an audio book over 5-6 weeks make it an excellent reflection tool.

Lame

if you are an overthinker you absolutely need to read this book! i felt like some of the chapters explained even more rationale behind some things i prioritize (ie decreasing clutter) as it relates to my “chatter.” other chapters gave tangible suggestions for other ways to quiet or harness the chatter, with plenty of science to back it up. if you’re not a fan of self-help books, this may not be for you. it definitely has self-help crossed with Ted talk energy but I love that for an audiobook as I’m tidying up around the house (quieting the chatter! lol)
