A perfect story for those who like Greek mythology, but don't want to read retellings of existing stories.

Forever a Greek mythology girlie and I love a good quest book.
Overall a fun read!
Minus points for
Chryse’s betrayal because we need more female friendships and I think they could have done so much more with their relationship

Fine; I feel like it’s a bastardised version of the Orpheus & Eurydice’s.
However, the sequel may be more intriguing if written from a different character’s perspective and may also be more reminiscent of the video game by Supergiant.

I suspect I went into this biased and illusioned. The book itself isn’t bad and does remind me of Percy Jackson at some points (in a good way)

Another fantastic book from Katherine and Elizabeth Corr.

This was one of my most highly anticipated books of 2022 and it did not disappoint. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment.

It was a slow burn but once it got me, I was hooked. I could not put it down. The world building was so descriptive without being hard to follow. Everything was so easy to picture, the underworld was so vivid I felt as though I was there with them.

The twists throughout the book were completely unpredictable, I never saw any of them coming. The betrayal and deceit was almost too much to handle in places. I felt personally betrayed at so many points.

I absolutely adored the mix of Greek mythology, especially the character of Hades. One of my favourite gods and such a unique portrayal of him. I would have never managed to think of such a fresh take on such a well known name. I would love to hear more about him in the next book.
