[a:Kristen Ashley|2958084|Kristen Ashley|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/authors/1279995377p2/2958084.jpg] is one of those authors who has a strong fan following but whose work I had never had the pleasure of reading. By the time I had come across her name here in Goodreads, I was astounded to see how many books she already had under her belt over the span of just a few years. I had no idea where to begin, but when "Rock Chick Revolution" was finally released last month, I finally decided to take the plunge by reading the entire "Rock Chick" series and did so in eight days. Yup, one book a day, and let me tell you, it was one rockin' series. ^.^

I've been leaving ratings for each of the books as soon as I finish them but haven't gotten around to writing reviews, mainly because these books were what kept me company while I was sick in bed and I couldn't sit up long enough to put together reviews. Hopefully, I'll be able to write individual reviews for the books but I'm starting with the last book and review the series as a whole.

"Rock Chick Revolution" is the eighth and final book in the "Rock Chick" series and tells the tale of Allyson "Ally" Nightingale and Lorenzo "Ren" Zano. While the romance between the two has its hiccups, especially in the flashbacks, they seemed to have this wonderful relationship that was based on trust, openness, and belief in what they had. I think the fact that Ren is neither a member of the "Hot Bunch" or a cop makes this story all the more interesting. Ally's always been the faithful sidekick to Indy and the one bugging the rest of the Rock Chicks to spill on their Hot Bunch men but how she handles her relationship with Ren and her ambition in life shows that she has other layers to her character.

This book brought the whole series full circle and while I did like some of the books slightly better than the others, the "Rock Chick" series has become one of my favorites of all-time. The books have humor, suspense, drama, action, and, most importantly, heart. The characters stay with you, even those who play support in the books (i.e. Tex, Duke, Jane, Daisy, Shirleen, etc.). Yes, there were editing issues but they don't really take away from the stories so I let them slide when it came to my ratings. ^.^

"Rock Chick Revolution" gets five out of five stars and the "Rock Chick" series, as a whole, gets five out of five stars as well (yes, I know my ratings don't average out to that but I want to give it a five...so there). ^.^ I have officially become a Kristen Ashley fan...and that isn't just because the series gets a spin-off in the form of Mace and Stella in LA. ♥

I have been waiting for Ally's story since I finished Indy's story since they were besties. Her love story was worth the wait. She proved that she was more than just a best friend or little sister. I loved that she had a good head on her shoulders and even though crazy, like all the other girls, she was a little more careful and didn't go off half-cocked. And Ren? Sweet lord was that man patient and delicious.

I'm intrigued by the mention of Mace's security firm and the mention of Darius' story. I can see I need to check out more books from this author since this series is older.

Because, no matter who old we get, we always need to believe in fairytales."

I enjoyed Ally and Ren's story. It wasn't my favorite but it was a great end to the series. I'll live for the day we get to see more of the Rock Chicks and Hot Bunch. I'll always remember the summer I fell hopelessly in love with them!

A motley crew of cops, and crooks, bounty hunters and baristas, PIs and rock stars, hot guys and Rock Chicks. My people. My family.

Ren and Ally get the final story in this Rock Chick series. This last book wraps up the families their issues and has some memorable moments you don't want to miss.
He's the Italian ultra hot bad boy with gangster ties, and she's the sultry danger loving daughter of a cop. They have been sheet buddies for a year and Ren has been pushing for more the whole time,

Ally she has reasons to keep it casual. Their romance is not as rough as some of the previous ones but Woowee there are some issues to deal with. Watching them tackle to problems and deal with friends/family had me siting on the edge of my seat, tearing up and cheering.
Steamy ? Oh my girlie bits, it is so steamy. Ren is one fine specimen of Italian hot male. He cooks, cleans, and leaves his girl with a smile multiple times in multiple ways.
The author found a way to sneak her self into the book. I knew these guys had to be real. They are just too good to be made up. How soon can I make a trip to CO ? Rock on mystery writer ! LOL

This book did have some niggles, but for me, it had that old KA magic. It also made me laugh and shed a few tears, and I enjoyed the hell out of it, hence the 5 star rating from me.

Mostly, this isn't going to be a review, it's more going to address my thoughts, and thoughts I have seen from others. So it's probably gonna be spoilery as hell, don't judge me.

Ren and Ally were a great couple. Ally doesn't take any shit, and neither does Ren. I've seen some blaming of Ren for the thing with Ava, but I have to call bullshit on that one. Ally's the one that made assumptions on what the guy said in his SLEEP, after a wild, drunken night, and Ally's the one that waited over a year to tell him about it. Ally's also the one who took what she wanted (sex from Ren) when she was really in love with him, stringing him alone when she thought he was in love with someone else, so I put all that solely on her. Yes, I'm sure it sucked to be thinking he's the one, and hear him say someone else's name, but they'd had ONE night, and he was very much asleep. She brought that whole year on herself by not telling him.

Ren was the rare Ashley hero, in that he's badass, he's take charge, but he's not afraid to apologize when he's wrong, he's not afraid to go after what he wants, and he finally comes around to letting his woman be herself. I also loved how into it he got, watching her strip. The other Hot Bunch guys would have gone nuts, if they'd let it happen at all, Ren just watched and enjoyed, secure in his woman and in himself. That's HOT.

I did think it was a bit silly that she had a couple lessons, and was working that pole like an old pro though. I'm sure that is NOT easy. I also think Ashley made the stripper world look too good and happy.

Then there is the Ashley thing. It was a bit cheesy, yes, but it didn't ruin the book for me. I just rolled my eyes and kept reading.

I was happy to see that we'll be following Mace and Stella to LA, not because I love Mace and Stella, but because this means we'll have a new Hot Bunch to follow, and hopefully, we'll get Darius's full story.
