What horrible, constrained lives female members of the aristocracy lived in the 1500s. Today, too, I imagine. But the coincidences of the ending are unbelievable!

Her maid arrives but not one person in the castle notices? She just happens to get hungry and go search for food the night her husband comes to kill her? She pulls on her maid’s clothes to go to the kitchen? Only when she gets to the kitchen does she remember the suggested escape?

And too much phantasmagorical narration!
