Of all of the Odd Thomas books, this was the weirdest and my least favorite.

A much improved edition into the "Odd Thomas" series. While I thought the fast paced nature was annoying and somewhat lazy in terms of writing a narrative, the action was fantastic.

This is a great addition to the series. The banter back and forth between Odd and the bad guy was pretty hilarious. If you haven't read these books you're really missing out.

As much as I love the Odd Thomas series, this was lacking. There was little suspense, especially compared to the other books in the series. I suppose it was meant to set up later events in the series, but as I was approaching the end, I found myself thinking, is this really all there is to this one? It ended so fast, and there weren't really any points where I wasn't sure Odd would triumph. All in all a pretty alright read (and extremely quick) but disappointing.

This book was so different from the first 3. The writing was so much more drawn out and wordy & the dialogue was much worse. Odd’s powers weren’t used at all &
Annamaria’s supernatural elements are never explained.
The build up to the conflict was so slow and the pay off was just
Odd pulling a gun on everyone.
very disappointed

I've listened to Audible.com unabridged recordings for all of the Odd Thomas books. This fourth book is every bit as good as the previous ones. I have to say that Odd Thomas is one of my favorite fictional characters. Not only does Dean Koontz tell an amazing story by David Aaron Baker is the perfect narrator for them. I can't express enough how much I enjoyed the Odd Thomas books.

I love Odd. Some of Koontz' newer books don't thrill me as much but this series is fantastic!
