I didn't like this quite as much as the first 3 - there was so much more that went unexplained, and I think it changed the feel of the book. Still, it looks like part of this story will continue in the next book so maybe after I've read that it'll all fall into place again.

Dean Koontz’s novel Odd Hours was rather enjoyable. I know many would disagree, but I think I enjoyed this title the most out of all the novels in the ongoing Odd Thomas series. The premise was fun, and the story was quite action packed.
It is mindless fluff, I know...but sometimes I dig it, like in the summertime when I originally read this title.

My last favorite of the series so far. Certainly a pivoting episode for the character and story, but it felt rushed, haphazard, and a bit too vague in most of the narrative. Hopefully, more explanations will come later on.

I really like the "Odd" books, especially Odd himself; he's clever, funny, and unique. That being said, this wasn't my favorite Odd book, but was still a fast, fun read. Brother Odd is probably my favorite, but that could be because it was the first one I read.

Another Odd Thomas book which quickly sucks you in and retains your attention. The setting changes to a small beach town, which is one of Koontz' familial backgrounds. It is a good easy read.

The book was pretty good, not the best on the Odd Thomas series, but wasn't bad either.

I always look forward to the Odd Thomas books, the first one just blew me away. The ones thereafter, not so much.

Odd Hours is a pretty decent book, although not as emotional as the first one. I don't want to give away any major plot lines so I'll be all nice and vague. Odd Thomas was drawn to Magic Beach after living in the monastery (Brother Odd). Elvis is gone, Frank Sinatra is with him. And Boo, the ghost dog, is still by his side. Odd has taken a job as a cook for an old actor living on the beach. Odd has dreams, he meets a woman, he's chased by maniac killers. He needs to save the world!

Memories of Stormy are pretty prevalent through the book and several times my eyes teared up. This was a pretty good book, not as good as the first book, although I thought it was a little bit slow in the beginning. Once it picked up, the book was pretty hard to put down. The ending was....unresolved. So now I have the next Odd Thomas book to look forward to!

This book was not what I have come to expect from OT in a bad way. There was nothing supernatural or mysterious about it. I feel like Koonyz had to reach a page quota; so much if the book was unnecessary. We didn't get to spend enough time with the best characters. I am thinking this story wasahing groundwork of what is to come, but I could not wait to be finished.
