This graphic novel portrayed a good depiction of how toxic relationships are, and the confusion they cause, especially when teenagers are the ones suffering in these stories.
It's also refreshing to see a story dealing with toxic relationships with LGBTQIA focus and the impact of these relationships on friendships, and how these affairs can alienate and disorient people.

The artist's use of the colour pink was interesting, it reflected a myriad of emotions such as shame, embarrassment, falling in love and sadness.
The art style was 8/10, but the big illustrations were really pretty and the cover is brilliant, conveying how the main character is overshadowed by her love interest -Laura Dean-.

It's a good graphic novel that I think about a lot.

A lot is left unsaid in this graphic novel, and it would've benefited from being less subtextual.

What is it like to love this person who keeps breaking up with you, and then presumably coming back to you? What does your love with this person offer you? Does it make you happy? Does it give you what you need to be a better person?

A really cute and gay graphic novel!! The artstyle is amazing and it’s a really fun read! It also was about how relationships can be toxic and messy. Freddy (mc) has to figure out and come to terms with her toxic relationship with LD. All the characters are really interesting. I think it would have been great to know more backstory of Laura Dean, but considering the format and how long the graphic novel already is, I can see how that just didn’t fit in there anymore.

A slice of life look into a bad relationship affecting your ability to being a good friend and how your choices are both important to yourself and those around you. Lovely artwork and a great take on a “complicated” relationship.
