⚠️ TW: torture, drug use, addiction, PTSD, murder/serial killer, mentions of sex trafficking of minors ⚠️ Carol has yet again produced an incredibly thrilling page turner in this great series! 👏🏼 This book is the third installment in the DI Kate Young series and follows her as she continues to dig deep on her mission to expose corruption within the force whilst also hunting an erratic serial killer with very little to go on as the bodies begin to pile up. However the closer her team get to cracking the case the more similarities she notices she has with their illusive predator. Honestly this book was so gripping I never wanted to put it down and if time was on my side I could have easily read it in one sitting! It is everything you could possibly want from this genre and I loved how this book lead us to new avenues in terms of how deep the corruption is as well as leaving you begging for the fourth book immediately. I also loved how Carol makes you question every character you encounter and if they are part of the ever developing web of corruption that Kate is exposing. Overall, I cannot recommend this book highly enough and I'm going to be counting down the days until I can get my hands on book 4 🙈
