I always forget how good these books are whenever I start reading the next one. This series altogether is so beautiful, and I am so pleased with how it ended. My favorite part of these books are the amazing tales we get woven perfectly into the story. These stories tell of the gods and dragons, and allow the reader to be immersed so fully in this world. I loved the story throughout this novel that followed Skye and the Shadow god. Safire and Eris are amazing and need to be protected. I love this series and I love seeing the characters from former books in this one. Such an amazing ending to this world and these tales.

I wanted to like this one more as it’s f/f enemies to lovers but the chemistry wasn’t quite there for me unfortunately. Then again I didn’t see the chemistry in the last book and I don’t remember if there was even a romance in the first.

That being said, I loved the mythology woven through this story and the way everything felt tied together. At least from the second book. The second book and this one feel a bit different from the first in my opinion but that’s alright.

Overall this is a fun series with a lot of fantastic women which I appreciate. Also enjoy that they are ya protagonists who are over the age of eighteen. I also found the world unique and compelling. A good series that I do recommend and I look forward to more from Ciccarelli.

I am often someone that puts of the last book in a series, since I don't want it to end, but not with this one. I really like the concept that each book in this series has a different main perspective but the characters still play a huge role in the next book. This last one was about Safire, the commander of Dax's army. I really liked her as a character, she is very determined to protect her people.

The folklore and stories play an important role in this book, just like in the last two books. I also really enjoyed the romance, since it felt really sincere to me. The end came a little to fast for me, everything ended fairly well and pretty fast, which is why I give this book not 5 but 4.5 stars. That's all I can say without spoiling anything.

All in all, I really enjoyed this series. I liked the fantasy and story aspect and how it was intertwined with the characters itself the most, which makes it an original trilogy which I will definitely reread one day.
