I have been on a sci fi kick lately, and I downloaded this audio book because it's the same author as me before you, and in my head I thought it was maybe in the same series. It's not. And when I realizedit wasn't, I put it away and went back to another sci-fi book. But after I finished that, I decided to give this a chance. I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed the story line.

such an amazing feel good read. Warning! this book is addictive!! Loved every minute of it. Was sad when it ended. I recommend everyone get a copy. its one of those books that you can read over and over again. #TheOneJojo

Jojo Moyes writes an entertaining and page-turning book, even when the plot is mostly lifted from Little Miss Sunshine, complete with precocious little girl, disaffected and moody teenaged boy, and a crazy man running towards a judge's table at the pseudo-denouement of the book demanding that a child be given a fair chance. There are some unseen small surprises at the end, some of which seemed emotionally manipulative. But what can I say? Despite the idealistic characters, the predictable plot, the convenient twists of fate; at the end of the day, Moyes writes a book that I want to keep reading and that I find myself itching to get back to when I'm not reading it. I don't know how she does it, and I suppose I don't care. There are some stories we all love hearing over and over again. Sometimes it's because of the story itself, but in Moyes' case, it's because of the storyteller.

Definitely like other Moyes books better but this was a nice light beach read. This felt more chick lit than others but still enjoyable.

A good book to read because it's fun and light, but it's not something that will stick with me or remember after some time. Although I love the fact the author talks about money realistically, it's hard to connect with the characters in a moving way. It's hard for me to understand how the relationship became so "I love you and can't be apart from you" so quickly. I wished the build up was more realistic. Other than that, a nice read.

This book has my heart! I reread it again this year and all those feels. I love it! It’s true that families come in all shapes and sizes. Blood doesn’t make a family, love and compassion does. You just have to be loyal to them. No matter what comes your way it will pass, you’ll get through it and you’ll see that your family will always be there with you through it!

"'You just need to find your people.’

‘Find my people.’

‘Your tribe.’

Nicky pulled a face.

‘You know, you spend your whole life feeling like you don’t quite fit in anywhere. And then you walk into a room one day, whether it’s at university or an office or some kind of club, and you just go, “Ah. There they are.” And suddenly you feel at home.’

‘I don’t feel at home anywhere.’

‘For now.’"

Sometimes you just need a read with some quirky, relatable, heart-warming characters. Jojo Moyes even made me love the dog.

So this book just made me cry. I don’t normally cry about books and I’m not sure what it was about this one that broke my heart and then put it back together again so thoroughly- maybe just life right now? But it was so good and sweet and funny and sad and apparently a bit of a tearjerker. So many wow-that’s-real-life lines I wanted to highlight or read out loud to someone. I didn’t love her famous book, but I’ll be looking into some of her others because this one changed my mind. Really glad I picked it up.

I have enjoyed it through and through, as will all J. Moyes books. I couldn't put it down and I have lost sleep over this book. Good story, good romance. Happy ending. But it did feel a wee bit shallow at times, hence the four stars.

I LOVED THIS BOOK. It's been a while since I gushed on a contemporary novel and I can't believe I've put off reading this for a while. And now that I have, I cannot stop gushing about this. I am actually so disappointed as I turn the last page, not because there was something I did not like, but because I wanted the story to continue on and on. I can't get enough of these characters.

This is a perfect blend of humour and heartbreak. Just the way I like it.
