I loved Jojo Moyes' Me Before You and have tried one of her other books, but it didn't grab me at the time. One Plus One, however, had me hooked from the beginning because every character had so much at stake. It was a little hard to follow at the start because so many character names were thrown in, but by the second chapter it was all sorted out and you knew who was who and who mattered. Jess is a single mom who works multiple jobs trying to provide for her children while her husband recovers from a nervous breakdown at his mother's. To get her pay, she has to tell off a client she cleans for, then later runs into him at her other job. Then runs into him again. And hates him, because he's so rich he doesn't even notice when $500 falls out of his pocket. But she notices. After reading this, I'm ready to give the other Moyes books a try again.

Liked it. A good beach read – but meaty, complex, more interesting than most beach reads.

That's cool, audiobook of "One Plus One" by Jojo Moyes, I'll just drive around with tears streaming down my face like a totally normal person.

Jojo Moyes has the best quirky characters. Jess and Ed, the two most unlikely duo, embark on a life changing road trip. Both believe they have truly nothing left to lose, seemingly to learn life could actually throw even more their way. Nicky and Tanzie, Jess’s children, both provide some comic relief as well as some aid in bringing opposites together.

I really enjoyed this book. It didn't really pull me in towards the beginning, but I really grew to love it and all of the characters. It was pretty predictable, which made it a little harder to read when nearing the end, although the ending did have a bit of a twist I wasn't expecting. Overall, this was a really heartwarming story that compared the struggles of wealthy and lower-class people.

Jojo Moyes is definitely worth all the hype. I loved the different narrators and how she actually saw the story through to the end.

Not your typical story.  It’s a family drama and a love story. Well written and a page turner.  The plot and characters keep you going!

Another gem from the lovely Jojo Moyes! Beautifully written and nicely paced, you root for the two protagonists in this story and hope that love truly conquers all.
