Didn't really enjoy this book. Felt like the relationship between the main characters developed randomly.
I would like to give the first half of this book two stars and the latter half four stars. There was not a lot that pulled me into this book at the beginning. The character descriptions were almost nonexistent and it just seemed a tad depressing. I wish Moyes could have applied the "oomph" consistently throughout. That said, it's an easy read and a great story and by the end I was glad I had read it.
Jojo Moyes is amazing! She writes some of the best characters you will ever read. There's something so perfect about how flawed they are. Although, 'flawed' might not be the best description in this case. They had made mistakes that led them to difficult situations that were not so easy to overcome.
Particularly, in One Plus One, everything kept going wrong for them. It was heartbreaking how hard Jess tried to make a good life for Tanzie and Nicky but kept getting knocked down. You couldn't help but want the best for them, even if it came in the form of a man that inadvertently engaged in illegal activities in an effort to get rid of a clingy girlfriend.
I can't even begin to describe how much I loved this book, but Jojo Moyes is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors!

Solid in its simplicity and very real. Something pure.

This book reminded me SO MUCH of Little Miss Sunshine.
This book had a lot of language and a couple of “scenes.” But I was so stinking attached to the characters and story.
Absolutely charming. Devastating and heartwarming over and over again.
A pesar de el final de teleserie mexicana,amé todo el dramón que arma Jojo en este libro.
