I wanted to enjoy and devour this, but reading it right after One Golden Summer, it felt like a letdown. I didn’t feel like there was much chemistry between Fern and Will. Overall the book felt slow and boring to me because I just couldn’t get into the characters story. I enjoyed the lake setting and the progress with the resort and thought that Fern had some good personal growth with the loss of her mom and wanting to takeover the resort.
