No over-the-top drama, just two flawed people navigating life and timing. However, Will really tested my patience toward the end (sir, what were you thinking?!). I also loved hearing Fern talk about her mother and the grief, pain, heartbreak, and what-ifs of losing her mother. The emotions and the way Will and Fern's connection lingered over the years made this such a compelling read.
