Bernardino was my favorite character! This was a fun one to read over Halloween weekend. Sometimes the dialogue was hard to follow and it felt like the world-building could have used some work but I liked it.

Turns out I don't like neo noir at all. Super interesting world building with subspecies of vampires and how they exist in the world. I just was expecting a horror and got organized crime which is far from my taste. Really liked the concept, just not a plot for me.

2.5 rounded down. Even with reading the note to readers at the beginning about how Moreno-Garcia wasn't going to publish this, I still felt like it was not fully fleshed out. The different types of vampires was cool to read about but I kept getting bored. It just felt meh.
