I'm not sure how I feel about this last arc, Worldwide, of Dan Slott's run. The art remains gorgeous and Alex Ross for covers was a get.
But. The thing about the Big Time and Spider-verse is that even as Parker was being pushed in new directions-steady job and girlfriend, he still remained Parker, balancing his responsibilities and usually still the underdog.
But having his own company and that company being a worldwide success. In the first volume, Parker referred to himself as a poor man's Tony Stark and that's what this is starting to feel like. The first hint of corporate espionage back in the Parker Luck was a fun tease and hint at what was to come. But now at volume 2 it is already a trope. Weird that Aunt May has gone missing for this entire volume.

Peter Parker being smart and talented and famous and worldwide. Still pretty cool to see him written so well. And with such a large and interesting supporting cast, though not the best use of them I've seen. Mockingbird is used pretty well in this as well though not exceptionally. A bit of a complicated plot with a little bit of a let down at the end. But still quite good.

This book contains two arcs, both of 'em are meh, nothing impressive, since the first volume this ain't been the best Slot run so far, it feels like this Spidey is less hero and funny, the art is good and the covers by Ross are hella pretty.

People really can't figure out in this world that Parker in Spider-Man? Even when they both show up in China? No one can put that together? Really kinds ruins it for me.

This was more like it! More fun, more Spidey, more exciting. I particularly liked the Cloak & Dagger arc.
