An enchanting story. Wouldn't it be great if we could capture aromas and open a bottle to smell them at anytime! Not just the smell of lemon, but the smell of your house on a certain day. The memories that would invoke would be fun and heartwarming. The story of the Scent Keeper, his daughter and ex-wife was an entertaining read.

I liked it but it didn’t do anything special for me. The characters were likable but don’t stand out. They writing style was lyrical and beautiful but ultimately, a little boring. I was a comforting and relaxing read - despite it touching on some serious topics. I think it felt this way cause the narrator maintained a sense of innocence through the book.

I love, love loved this book! Books where they’re on an island totally floats my boat! Throw in some beautiful writing and I’m in. The writing style was soothing to my soul with its descriptive story telling. This is a book that I would read again.
