The world building drew me in, with different kinds of dragons. The end was a surprise to me, how a slayer can slay a dragon. This story was complete, no sequel is needed. I look forward to reading more by Stephen del Mar.

A fun read, of the absolutely ridiculous vein. Probably would have been a 4 star if the whole "you're my bitch, bitch" bit hadn't been played quite so heavily. But still a good laugh for a short read.

D'aww, the sappy romantic in me just took a hit to the heart, in this short story the term "dragon slayer" of course has more meaning than simply what it seems. Drake is just that, a dragon slayer, a paladin, a seducer of dragons.

It's the first night of him being a dragon slayer, so he doesn't know what it means when he goes looking for Flint, his roommate who he's had a crush on all year - and, a stone dragon. There are more kinds of dragons in the world than Drake realized, flame ones, sky dragons, and stone dragons like Flint.

Drake wants to learn more, and Flint is willing to teach him - but first they have to survive this night - and all that comes after...
