1st person/multi pov
Spice: 3/5

Well, K. Webster has brought us back into the wilderness of Alaska with a new generation full of angst, drama, and even more taboo deliciousness! Reed and Devon have raised quite the family and built an impressive home in their secluded area of the wild. But when you’re tucked away from civilization with growing teens/young adults it’s easy for lines to get blurred.

There’s tension between parent and child, tension between siblings, fear of acceptance from family members, feeling trapped and craving independence, jealousy, and possessiveness galore. And that’s just from the kids! When the opportunity arises to meet new people and break up the monotony of their lives a little some of them jump at the chance while others are more cautious leading to even more tension and discourse among them. At the same time, it makes their complicated feelings towards each other harder to ignore and even harder to not act on them. Until the moment it all goes up in flames.

The spice is limited between the kids as this is the beginning of their story but the sexual tension and buildup we get balances that out nicely. Then of course we still get some good spice from Daddy Reed and Devon. 😏 The plot is suspenseful and will have you anxiously turning to the next page to watch it all unfold. Then there’s the ending… whoa I was not prepared for that ending! Talk about a nail-biter moment that had me wanting to smash my Kindle! 😫 I completely forgot that this was the first of several books in this new generation’s series until that moment and I am positively hooked on this story!

I will be not so patiently awaiting the next book's release and crossing my fingers that it’s in the near future!! Gah I have missed this world!!

Thank you to K. Webster and her team for the advance reader copy of The Untamed, the third story in The Wild series.

When one thinks of the taboo works of Kristi Webster, The Wild comes to mind immediately. It is an iconic series, it put K. Webster on the map. So I was undeniably intrigued to see where this story would go next. I must preface here if you cannot handle the most absolutely taboo tropes, this is not for you.

I am a K. Webster review team member, but I remain honest and genuine in my reviews.

I am shookith. K - you win best cliffhanger of the year award. 😭🏆

I LOVE seeing the next generation of The Wild series. This book is told from three POVs - Ronan’s, Ryder’s, and Reagan’s. Like with the previous books, you feel (alongside the characters) the wrongness and unignorable lust of our characters. You feel the sadness that comes from betrayal when tough decisions are made. You feel the mistrust of the guests they welcome on to their land.

This book was a ton of scene-setting, character introduction, and buildup. This cliffhanger is an absolute doozy! And I can’t wait for The Unruly!

Thanks to K Webster for the ARC of this book.

I tried to go into this one as blind as possible. I knew it was MMF and incest but that was it. Knowing it was a K Webster book I didn’t need to know anymore than that. Of course she delivered with this one 👏🏻👏🏻 It’s a SLOW BURN which I don’t mind and not super steamy. It definitely has its hot moments though. I’m huge on character development in my books and this one was done perfectly. You get to know the characters and get a fantastic plot to go right along with it. I loved The Wild & The Free so knowing it was the kids from those books I was super intrigued. The storyline kept my interest and when I wasn’t reading it I was thinking about it. THAT ENDING THOUGH 🙈 She really wanted us to be thinking about this book until the next one comes out. That cliffhanger made me unwell!! I can’t wait for The Unruly!!

“ Our love is untamed.
And we are the unruly.”

If you love taboo, this book is for you! Every single time I read a book by K. Webster she blows my mind. She crosses lines by miles, and I love it. These books are not for everyone so be sure you read the TW’s before you cross the line with us.

The wild was one of my first absolute taboo books and being able to continue in this world is amazing. The story continues with Devon and Reed’s children focusing on Ronan, Ryder and Raegan. They are blood siblings but what they feel for each other solidly moves beyond that. Living in the wild is all they know. When they are exposed to influences from the outside world they are challenged. They fight their feelings and experience deep jealousy. But even if everyone says it’s wrong, they still want what they want, they cannot be tamed.

This book had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I just needed to know what was happening and I could put the book down until I knew. The story starts strong, it builds in intensity and ends on the most infuriating cliffhanger. I can’t wait what comes next in the Unruly!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
