Funny, tounge-in-cheek (pun not intended) book :)

Laugh all you want at the weird title and the weirder story. I was in 6th grade when I read this book, and I had a blast reading it (even if I was mildly grossed out at the thought of my butt taking off).

A 6th grade girl, I'm sure, has many more interesting things to do than read about a runaway butt and his human who's trying to find it. But I was a pretty adventurous kid, and also extremely bored. What happened? I found this book, and then I read it.

When I finished I had varying feelings. Did I like this book? Did I not? Will I have nightmares about my face being where my butt is? What would the world be like with facebutts?

I did answer all of those now, but back then, I was a confused little girl. I just ended up reading another book to shove this one out of my head.

(Btw, yes, no, no, gross).

But here I am, 9 years later, writing a review. And from what I remember, I did like this. It was interesting and funny, and unlike anything I've ever read in my whole life.
Maybe when I'm older and have my own bored and bookworm kids, I'll give this to them for some f-ASS-cinating butt humor.

I can't believe I haven't logged this book yet!! I read it years ago!! Masterpiece!! Influential above all else in my life!!

I remember trying to read the sequel to this book, [b:Zombie Butts From Uranus|903304|Zombie Butts From Uranus|Andy Griffiths|http://images.gr-assets.com/books/1328868464s/903304.jpg|441051], in middle school and not being able to get through it. I think I must have been a very literal child, because I just could not get over many of the descriptions, such as a butt having arms and legs and detaching itself from a human.
However, since then I have watched the TV adaptation of the books on Netflix. Either I have grown less literal as an adult or having seen the cartoon representation, I have an easier time picturing the characters. Either way I was able to get through this book and loved it.
I'll at admit, at times it is downright disgusting. But it never stops being amazing. Giant maggots, buttcanoes, and stink tornadoes, this is one of the grossest things I have ever read and I really enjoyed it.
The descriptions are very cartoonish and unrealistic, but very creative and funny. I really enjoyed all of the adventures Zack went on. This book is definitely unlike anything I have read before and it is worth the read.
For those who like silly and disgusting stories, give this book a try.
I can't wait to read the sequel.

This book was ridiculous to read aloud.

As the author's note says, this book is not for adults. Every third word is butt, there is no explanation for why or when the butts started detaching themselves and rebelling against the people. For me the lack of explanation was annoying, but I'm sure my students won't mind.

It’s a hilarious, and cute children’s chapter book!
