Taylor swift songs: “state of grace”, “labyrinth”
Lynn Painter’s books always have many taylor swift references, but I think this one is her most swiftie book yet!!! “I had a marvelous time ruining everything” (from “last great American dynasty”) was a huge running theme throughout this book!
This book is a YA Romcom Valentine’s Day version of Groundhog Day!! This book has such a cute grumpy-sunshine relationship! I thought this was very cute, and such an easy quick read! I don’t think I liked it quite as much as Lynn Painter’s “Better than the movies” (that one holds a special place in my heart, because Wes Bennett 🥰💛) but I still thought this was great. I loved Emilie’s character growth throughout the book! I think the concept was classic, yet original in its execution. I will say I wish it was a little longer, the plot moved very quickly. But, overall, this is definitely worth a read!! I will be buying a copy when it comes out in paperback!
