IMMEDIATELY FIVE STARS!
I do not rate books five stars easily, but, WOW - Agatha Christie stands the test of time. Ethan my lovely boyfriend made me read this book as he made fun of me for not having read a book that he has…But I’m so thankful he did. This book was spectacular and everything I could’ve wished for during a murder mystery. Christie is an expert at creating these psychological twists and turns - all elements I absolutely fell for. With mystery/thrillers, I have a strange talent at typically being able to figure out the ending prior to the end of the novel. With And Then There Were None, I had suspicions, but they kept changing - the characters kept giving me evidence for why I thought they might be the killer. By the epilogue, I did of course realize one of them had to be alive and have faked their own death, what confused me of course, were the ten bodies in the home. But that revelation at the end…I did not see that coming at all. After this novel, I am obsessed with Agatha Christie, just wow! No wonder this story still lives up, almost 100 years later. Every single element was executed with absolute precision, the characters, the prose, the speed, the plot. Top ten, one of my favorite reads of 2025.
