Where do I start. I am currently wiping the tears as I try and write this review. Emily always knows how to write a truly emotionally raw novel. I felt every emotion in this book from love, strength, sadness, and how brave the character was throughout everything. The love between the MFC and her MC's is incredible. The way they care for her. If you haven't read Black Lace Secrets yet, I highly recommend that you do. Please check triggers on her website. It is a beautifully written emotional book.

What an amazing book about recovery and what it means to go through trauma…definitely read your trigger warnings going in…this was darker but necessary to be shared! I loved how the author helps portray what an author has to go through. Just because they write smut does not make them horrible people…there are people for everyone and I’m glad I found my people. Emily said it so well when she said “No matter what you write, read, say, or wear, no one has the right to hurt you. There is no justification for stealing someone’s power from them. These individuals do not deserve redemption. They do not deserve sympathy. They deserve to be put down like the animal that they are. So, tell your story and seek the justice you deserve.” This resonated with me! Words matter and your story matters…don’t let anyone silence your story due to their prejudice, own insecurities, triggers, etc. Share your story because it may help that one person heal!! Kudos for this book! I loved it!!

 I loved the dynamic the characters had in this story.    Kye, Arlo, Tiana, and her friends had the good natured ribbing and humor that so many authors struggle to express in writing. I knew immediately who her stalker was, but was still surprised by some things. This book does have trigger warnings because traumatizing events happen to Tiana. But as always Emily did a good job with writing about the trauma and giving a happy ever after at the same time.

I really liked this book. The initial synopsis intrigued me and the book itself did not disappoint! Definitely read the content and trigger warnings before proceeding with reading this book.

Tiana was a really likeable main character, and I loved that she wrote books, I found myself actually wanting to read her stories! Her support network of people were all amazing, her best friends and her brother were perfect, and Arlo and Kye were exactly who Tiana needed, and them doing whatever Tiana needed them to and going at her pace was so refreshing to read about!

Tiana's stalker I had a feeling I knew who it was, and him going from who Tiana viewed him as to his true personality was well written and such a sudden change that I completely understand Tiana, and I'm glad she got to deal with him at the end! 

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to read this book, and I'm looking forward to reading more books by Emily Klepp in the future.
