What's worse than a badly written book? A badly written book that is very, VERY long. Curious about all the hype I delved into the pages to find dry, cardboard cut-out characters that I didn't give a smidgen about, bland writing, and a puzzling mystery that lacked very much that was puzzling (well, except the puzzling popularity of this book.) These people are supposed to be experts yet they are stumped by Encyclopedia Brown kind of mysteries. There is a stream of thoughts I will share on this book: 1) i felt nearly frustrated with the concept of quest + discovery of one clue = repeat and wash until you get to the final zinger. 2) was Dan Brown in the midst of an indiana jones episode when he created the main character, Robert? And finally 3) as much as even I love a good bit of uncovering conspiracy theories, I felt like the finale was a bit reaching.
