Read for Life's Library. While written for a younger audience, adult readers should still find this a poignant and memorable read. Fly through it super quickly and find the emotional power of the book is very real, and that for as far as we have come the message still tragically applicable today, years and years after the book was written.

Read it in one go. My poor heart. I knew what was coming but still.. ouch. I'd usually say that the story progresses too fast for my liking but given the fact that it's a Romeo and Juliet retelling it fits how fast they fall for each other.

4 stars (and I'll go cry now)

this book made me cry and stop while reading. A beautiful poignant novel that still is relevant today. I will never forget this book

A book that makes you question society and accurately captures the pure love between Ellie and Miah.

A short, but tender story about first love and loss.
