I’ll be honest with you and share that I had no idea what was going to happen for 90% of this book, but while guessing with 100% accuracy what was going to happen in the other 10%, which inconveniently also happened to be the “big” reveals of the book. So that says something.

Wow, this book was compelling!

The pacing was fast and steady. The characters were interesting but also mysterious enough that the twists were believable.

The plotting was good and well structured. I kept wanting more, and turning pages.

The twists sped up and got more and more pleasing.

I really enjoyed this story!

As well written as the plot, flashbacks and trickle truth were, the twists were sometimes a little too on the nose. But a good overall thriller either some very cool sci-fi and futuristic elements to keep it interesting.

I wouldn't mind Ashby expanding this universe!
