How do you feel about a protagonist that is a villain?

I truly do not want to give too much away about this book because I really enjoyed it, but Glass Houses is a great example of a truly morally grey protagonist. Kristen is one of my favourite leading characters that I’ve met so far this year. From her intriguing childhood to mysterious romantic partners to Dexter-esque pastimes, she really kept me on edge from beginning to end. What also kept me intrigued about this book was the dystopian setting which was never truly explained as to how and why, but seemed so eerily realistic at the same time. I did not see some parts of this novel coming at all which I truly enjoy. Some of these characters really had me fooled. I think the easily wrapped up ending is my only criticism but for me, this was such a fun and quick read that also had me questioning many things about our future and where we are going with technology today.

This book threw me for a loop. A mix of lost, scream, and You vibes. I couldn’t put this book down.
