The Vietnam era was "complicated" and painful with political silence/misinformation and attacks on those who served. Realizing that our nation totally dissed the professional women who served in military positions during that period is unnerving for the reader. Hannah successfully takes on the extremely difficult topic of PTSD experienced by so many vets.
