This short novella honestly only should have taken a day buy the holidays are here. I got the probably smut SE. this book was everything I want of a spicy novella. Just sooooo hawt.

honestly this is the first book in a while i’ve actually finished without getting bored of the couple, i guess because they don’t actually become one until sorta at the end lmao

i absolutely loved both main characters, loved their banter, the way they understand eachother, the way damien admired annie and was attracted to her from the beginning.

the smut was great, the way they longed for eachother after they went their separate ways and then immediately POUNCED the second they got the chance after reuniting, everything about it was chefs kiss.

and i say this every time but the pov aspect of books is a big deal breaker for me but i LOVED it in this book. it was completely evenly distributed dual pov, with nobody getting more chapters than the other. i didn’t have to end a chapter thinking to myself “please don’t be another ____ chapter..” because i always knew that it wouldn’t be the same person in a row — that bores me very quickly.

only reason it’s getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because i wish this was actually a full book. i feel like it had so much potential and i wouldve really enjoyed it if it went more in depth. it was a little fast paced since it was just a novella.

This is my favorite smutty novella I’ve read this year!

First of I just was to say I went into this completely blind. It’s been sitting in my KU for months and obviously forgot why I downloaded bc this whole time I think it was some kind of mystery or suspense novel..

Imagine my surprise to find out that is absolutely NOT the case!

Two strangers meet on plane (reverse grump situation) and it very quickly gets steamy. A bit unrealistic? Perhaps. But I’m all here for the fantasy!

As fate would have it, their next flights get cancelled due to local inclement weather and it turns into and incredibly oh so spicy one night stand.

Life must continue on. But of course when two people drawn to each other like magnets not even the universe can keep them apart.

The spice is incredible and the plot, I’m not mad at. This novella could be easily be anyone’s dream or fantasy and fantasies, don’t always need all those real life details.

Nooo it's too short. I loved this novella so much, but I also hate it because it's so short. I want more Damien and Anna/Annie.
Anna/Annie was my favorite kind of FMC. Strong, independent, and mostly people misunderstood them as Ice Queen. And Damien, damn, he knew how to treat Anna/Annie.

---

It must be exhausting being the alpha all the time, isn’t it? Making all the decisions? That’s why for one night, I want you to let me lead. I want your only job to be giving into the pleasure that I give you. With no pressure to be anything but completely shameless with need and eager for more.
- Damien (Chapter 4)

Super cute. Very quick read.

I knew this 100 page novella was going to be all spice.. and it was! but I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it so much

Plot or Character Driven: Character

I wanted a spicy novella, and this delivered exactly that.

Annie is a workaholic who gets sat next to a gorgeous man on her flight to New York, and things just kinda... happen.

The thing I liked most about this book was that it had a realistic timeline. It is very insta-lust but after their initial meeting they don't see each other for a month and in that time they try to distance themselves but ultimately they just can't stay away from each other.

Damien is just a man obsessed, and I love that he only wants to ensure that Annie is actually enjoying her life and not just working herself to death and settling for less than she deserves. I would've liked to see a bit more of his personality outside of Annie and his relationship, but I digress. It was 107 pages, what could I really expect 🤷‍♀️
