Donald Trump's Martian takeover is thwarted by bears.

Bears and Bees go to Mars. 3.5 stars

Clever book. 1/2 step below Dogs of War though. That despicable politician guy seemed familiar though. . . .

Another fascinating book by Tchaikovsky! It had great characters and explored intriguing questions.

"We are the Sons of Adam. We accept the Collar as a mark that we know our place and purpose in the world. We are the servants of humanity, and we do not know doubt or fear or choice. We know only love, God’s and Man’s. We are Good Dogs.

***

"We are the glass of God. We magnify the acts of Man for His attention. And in the next world Man shall be judged for how he used us.”

Honey, oh Honey. It's really interesting when you read a book and it's such a realistic mirror of our world while also being a fun house mirror that takes everything to weird and wonderful extremes.

I loved Rex in the previous book. He broke my heart and I cried for how much he tried to be a Good Dog. This book builds on all that, on what Honey was trying to do, what Bees saw herself doing and what it all adds up to. My heart broke for Carole, Boyo, Aslan. For all the good people trying to do something meaningful and for all the people playing the metagame.

It's a fantastic book, and you absolutely should read this.

While this is not my favorite book, I think about it all of the time. Definitely made a large impact.
