Such a lovely and satisfying ending. Its pace was slow to start but by part 2 was fast paced. Read like a mystery.

Yay for more Honey and Bees! Some truly unlikable characters in this one. I also had flashbacks to a certain Doctor Who episode.

This allegory feels fresh and informed. Efficiently grapples with current abusive systems. Very frank.

This was absolutely fantastic. I really liked the first book because of Rex, and the absolute pathos you feel from seeing the world in his perspective. Bear Head continues the narrative and the themes from the Dogs of War, with a wider perspective and immerses you into the story immediately, and Honey being one of the major perspectives gives us a more holistic understanding of the world.

The narrative voice from Jimmy is very irreverent and informal, and took a bit for me to understand and get into the headspace of, but quickly smoothed out. The moments of levity cut through and contrasted with moments of high tension with aplomb and made me chuckle out loud quite a few times.

Deals with quite a few triggering issues, especially through Springer's POV.

Bigger and more of everything that made the first book great. It’s all scaled up. Not only the main bioform, Honey the bear (huge) instead of Rex the dog (still big). But also the ideas and plans. Combined with lots of actions and disturbing experiences makes it another thrillIng ride!
