3.5 stelline.

I would probably give this 3.5 stars, but I bumped it up to 4 because I did enjoy it, mostly. I thought it was a very creative reinterpretation of Oz, but there were some parts at the beginning especially that seemed unnecessarily vulgar (Indigo, mostly), and I'm not sure at all why Dorothy's ruby slippers have been reimagined as stripper heels. I understand that Dorothy has changed, and that Oz has changed, but it's a little weird that it's all gone the way of short skirts and leather. I'm not sure how I feel about Amy, but this is certainly an interesting world that I'd be willing to read more of.

I couldn't do it. My time is precious, my time with books is sacred. This was so horribly written, awful. Terrible lines, I was rolling my eyes with every phrase.

I am also so disappointed, this book held so much promise an amazing idea, plot" but it failed. While the author is very much to blame there seemed to be a lack of editing. No editor worth a lick would have allowed this travesty to go through.

I always love a retelling of a classic story, or in this case a continuation of the story. Didn’t realize that it wasn’t a stand alone book, so the cliffhanger ending was upsetting. But still a great book, left me unable to put it down!

An interesting take on the Wizard of Oz.  Not 100% on whether I'll read the next one.
