It’s a cute, swoony romance.

Oh god, the slow-burn in this book just got me craaaaaaving a kiss between Rosy and Lucas. Both of their characters were so lovely, especially Lucas slowly falling in love with her and clearly doing his best at their fake dates. I'm a sucker for this fake dating trope, and Elena Armas just writes masterpieces on this every time.

I love the story, Rosie seemed to be an interesting character in The Spanish Love Deception. I was excited to read about her and Lucas's story. and the book satisfied me with the plot and characters.

Rosie left her job to follow her dream of being a writer when she had to move to Lina's apartment due to an accident. And then enters Lucas, their first meeting was hilarious. Rosie is always the caring and responsible one. Then comes Lucas, the sunshine, loved the way he cares for Rosie and always thinks about her comfort. The experimental dates he planned for her are amazing, whether they went the way they wanted or not, but it's just perfect how thoughtful Lucas is when it comes to Rosie. AND HE CAN COOK AND HE IS POSSIBLY THE BEST BOYFRIEND!!
Rosie, An independent woman, who seeks not only validation in herself, but is also nervous about her family finding out the truth about the path she has taken. Rosie is a strong character that demonstrates her inner battles of herself. But at the same time, just knows what she wants.

But with that being said, my love for this story is pure. To me, this was such a comfort romance that made me take my time to thoroughly appreciate and enjoy it. And both Rosie with Lucas together, know how to make that ideal romantic couple that as a reader makes you just instantly swoon over them. Aaron and Lina did return in this story from their honeymoon, Lina is still the protective best friend and she is still in wedding fever. I like this book more than Spanish Love Deception.
I adore Lucas and Rosie as a couple so so so much, their dates, and the way the dual pov expresses their feelings towards each other, it's so beautiful and fun to read.

Oh my Lord, this book is stunning! It tugged at my heartstrings in every way.

It's a beautiful slow burn, showing how their relationship develops from a crush or acquaintance to friends, then to "we're in love but in denial," and finally to the best love ever. I'm so overwhelmed with emotion.

Their personal stories are so relatable. The fear of leaving a secure career for something that brings joy but is more challenging is depicted so well. The way one character deals with the loss of a top-tier career due to injury, along with the depression, insecurities, and fear that come with it, is heartbreaking. His self-doubt, even when everyone tells him he has other talents and choices, was so touching.

The chemistry and tension between the main characters are off the charts. The numerous interruptions they faced were both maddening and thrilling—the edging was real with this one!

I'm gonna miss them so much!
