Honestly, despite the subject matter, this reads like any other survival guide book. To be fair, a lot of the advice in here could be useful in real life situations, albeit very extreme ones (complete societal collapse, massive war, etc.). I've even heard from some survivalists that anyone prepared for a zombie apocalypse or nuclear war are some of the best prepared people in the world for any situation.
However, it being a guide book makes for a somewhat dry read. The most interesting part was the history of outbreaks towards the end. Pretty quick read though. And my inner zombie obsessed 16 year old self is happy, since I wanted to read this book back then but it wasn't as widely available.

It was a fun read for someone who is into zombie culture, but the appeal outside of that is limited. The Record Attacks section at the end was fun, I don't know if I would have made it all the way through the book if it was entirely about preparation.
Wel tof om te lezen, hoewel ik de recorded attacks het interessantste vond. Wel een goed boek voor wanneer ooit echt een zombie-uitbraak gaat plaatsvinden.

I've been reading some hard-core nonfiction lately...needed something completely different to break it up in my brain. There are nothing like Zombies to bring lightness to my day (yes, I know, my brain is totally whacked out).
this is good- but I was not aware that it is a comic book until it arrived in the mail...stories of the Z plague before modern times, i think that they are all linked to real history (ie- abandoned settlements, forts, strange reports in chronicles. nice to read but not a must have

Decent art, but predictable short stories left me feeling pretty unscared at the end - and I don't like watching zombie flicks. Meh, it could have been worse, but it wasn't super.
I know zombies aren't real. But this book made me hope. And I've kept a machete next to my bed ever since reading it.
