Was expecting it to be more satirical than it actually was. Useful if the zombie apocalypse ever becomes a thing.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but it still surprised me to read an entire book devoted to how to survive zombie attacks without any flicker of humorous or disbelief. Actually, that was very effective. While a standard survival manual would not be very interesting to read straight through, this one never bored me. By focusing the work on how surviving when zombies are about differs from normal survival and pointing to standard survival books to fill in the rest of the picture, he was able to keep the book easier to read. The historical zombie attacks section was especially interesting, but I think that having it follow an entire manual of dos and donts made those tales even more compelling. I found this to be a unique and interesting book. I'm going to have to read World War Z.

What a great idea. What a horrible book. Stay away. Stay far away!

When the zombie apocalypse strikes, this book will be the first item I'll grab. No, I'm lying, the second, as the first one will be a good-zombie-brain smashing tool.

I read it in the middle of my zombie obsession and it was one of the best laughs I've had while reading a book (though it might just be that I don't read humorous literature that much).

For those who take the upcoming zombie apocalypse seriously, this is a must-read book, but it has to be read carefully and with a little judgment. It does contain some well proven truths, like for example the importance of keeping fit and being well organized, and in addition provides action plans for several stages of the holocaust which is to come in the nearest future. However it concentrates on only one kind of zombie with no mention of a new strain of zombies developing, thus additional studying of doc.. I mean purely fictional literature and films are advised.

Overall it's a great book for the little zombie-geek inside and provides not only material for laughter but thought as well.

An entertaining twist on historical events/places that could have been related to zombies. Definitely on the cheesy side of things, but hey...it's zombies.

"Eh."

I read World War Z first. The best part of this book was the "recorded attacks" at the end, but it was kind of boring and repetitive.

Nice short and simple graphic novel companion to Brooks' zombie books.

Fun!

Feels a bit harsh to give a book that is exactly what it says it's going to be such a low rating but the dry and serious tone of this survival guide strays into gag book territory. I'm glad Max Brooks got to nerd out about zombies some more, something he seems to enjoy and has found his niche in, but this was too much of a chore for me to read.
