Dr. Blackstock highlights the disparity of healthcare in America for Black and LatinX communities. This memoir will leave you in tears but it will not leave you feeling helpless. Dr. Blackstock not only details the ways in which the American healthcare system continues to unfairly discriminate against Black Americans but she lets us know what we can do to bridge the gap. This was a profoundly important read and I’m so glad I picked it up. Eye opening, heartbreaking, and incredibly insightful.
