Great read, captured me from the first page. Good writing, good story, good characters. Very enjoyable to read an prophecy filled apocalypse novel with a primarily adult cast.

Something different from Nora Roberts and I love it! Dystopia plus magic including magical beings such as witches, fae, elf, etc., which includes a deadly pandemic. There  are those who remain that are normal, gone mad with power that had lain dormant within them, those who choose to abuse their power being dark power, and then there are those who use their power for good being the light power.

As we begin this book with the rise of the pandemic, the panic of the spread, the survivors struggling to live while others around go mad, kill others for fun, or some decide to end it. We follow a few groups who eventually find their way to each other, so love the many different POVs and the diversity of characters and getting to know them as well as their story, watching them grow in good ways and some bad. I couldn't stop reading this, I had to know if certain people survived or how they would solve their next problem and in true fashion Nora likes to throw wrenches into her stories as she did in this one. I am looking forward to reading the sequel.
