It was really hard to rate this book. I had a really hard time getting into it and it had some slow moments in the first half but the writing throughout was undeniably brilliant and without giving away too much, it was so interesting to read how Mr. Ripleys brain worked. The last 80 or so pages are intense, crazy ending

I saw the movie first and this book is so much better. Ripley is a psychopath you get behind and want to succeed. The author has masterfully crafted a villain we fall in love with. Ripley is James Bond charming and as unhinged as the Joker form Batman.
Representation: There’s a lot of sexual tension between Ripley and the other male characters in the book
