In Faking Christmas, Laurel works for a magazine where she *might* have led her boss to believe she’s a happily married mom who owns a farm. Except, that’s actually her twin sister. Her boss invites himself to her farm for the holidays, where Laurel finds herself pretending to be married to a man she despises, who was the best man at her sister’s wedding.
Read this for:
- fake marriage
- Lego loving adults
- snowed in for the holidays
- Christmas traditions
- Hallmark-style love story
- dancing to Christmas music
I enjoyed a lot about this book, but it wasn’t a complete winner for me! I have enjoyed other books of Kerry’s more than this one, so I’ll definitely keep reading what she writes.
Thank you to @berkleyromance for an eARC. All thoughts are my own.

Fake marriage, Blizzard = forced proximity, enemies to lovers/wrong first impressions, only one bed, grouchy x sunshine, what a lovely sappy Hallmark-worthy Christmas romance!

Easy holiday read. I enjoyed enough to carry on the reading AFTER a busy Christmas season.

Faking Christmas is a funny, cute and cosy rom com that puts a modern spin on one of my all time favourite Christmas movies, Christmas in Connecticut. The main couple had great chemistry and all of the supporting characters were a lot of fun. I very much appreciated the wall to wall Christmas movie and music references, and the love for Elf.
