Overall opinion:
This book was everything. I thoroughly enjoyed it from cover to cover!

Brief storyline summary:
Ian is one of the most powerful attorneys in Charleston. He's closed off to anything resembling love and is dead set on what his future holds and the goals he's set to enure that it happens. Then Grace appears like a dream and leaves him wanting more. She's off limits and forbidden, yet he sleeps with her anyways. She needs him to represent her and despite the possibility of losing everything, he still can't stay away.

POV:
Dual - Male MC and Female MC

Overall pace of the story:
Captivating and constant from the first to last pages.

Tropes:
Small Town
Single Parent
Opposites Attract
Forced Proximity
Alpha/Anti Hero
Damsel in Distress (sort of)
Dark Past

Character Rating:
Ian - 5⭐️ for being an absolutely perfect male MC. He was broody, charming, bold, wounded and all the good stuff in between.

Grace - 5⭐️ for being such a badass. She was protective, kind, forgiving, optimistic and was the perfect match for Ian.

Sadness level:
1.5/5

"What were you doing there that night?"
I looked at him, hoping he'd understand. "I was taking a chance, Ian. I was stepping out taking a chance. Praying someone might see me. Might listen. And when I looked up, what I found was you."

Love and romance are such complex things aren't they? There is this notion that love should be easy and quick. Most people who have been in love know otherwise. Love isn't a pretty feeling that looks like a Valentine's day ad. Love can be painful and cruel. All of Me is a romance that is full of angst that details the challenges that come when you fall in love.

Sometimes two people will come together and that love will look like the ones you see in the movies, the ones people dream about. It can be simple and fulfilling and doesn't take much work to get to that happily ever after. However, All of Me doesn't show us that kind of love. It shows us how raw it is and can be. It depicts people who don't want to be in love and fight with all they have to avoid it.

Loving someone might be masochistic. You put your heart on the line knowing there's a chance it can break. Intentionally or not isn't the point. A.L. Jackson gives love stories that follow two people who go through the cruelties that love offers. In the end it might not always end up great, but the possibility that it could is always worth it. Sometimes falling in love is as inevitable as the sun rising in the morning.

"Kisses are forever, and only for the ones you love most."

If there is someone who knows fear it's Grace. She's a dreamer and believes in fairytales even though she's living in a nightmare. She knows all about the dangers that loves brings. Yet, one night when she tries to fight for herself she connects with a man. A man who she knows is dangerous and has a heart that beats wrong. But Grace learns that it beats perfectly with hers.

Ian is a man that has seen too much darkness in the world that he's lost faith in almost everything except for his brother. He's wicked and everything a good woman should avoid. He knows this, but he can't help but want what he can't have. He's not the hero of the story, but all he wants is to save his Angel Girl.

Love isn't always peaceful and sometimes it's not kind. Sometimes two people are only meant to be together in another life. Regardless, this story teaches us that love is worth the challenges that come with it. Love can make you a better person. Sometimes the darkest nights can be saved by the hero. And sometimes that hero has some stains on his armor.

"You're going to ruin me, Angel Girl."
"And you're going to save me."

Honestly

I honestly don't know how I feel. I like the book and the love and sacrifice. But I feel it was a little long. But the ending was heartwarming and amazing.

I absolutely loved this story it was everything!!! I fell in love with Ian and Grace their attraction to each other was hot. It also melts your heart when the hero cares for the heroines children. As soon as I started reading chapter 45 I caught on fairly quickly how this wonderful story was going to play out and I was so excited I couldn’t contain myself!!! You will not be disappointed with this story!

What do we get when we have a successful lawyer whose main focus is to be at the top and a woman who would do anything for her children? This ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*4.5 Stars*

After meeting Ian in his brother Jace’s book, More of You, I couldn’t wait for his own story! He’s a broody, lawyer with a brutal upbringing. He doesn’t do relationships, or love, so his world is turned upside down when he can’t resist a certain damsel in distress by the name of Grace.

I was not ready for this story! I was swept up in the drama, attraction, the family, and those cute as heck kids. The emotions in this story had my heart breaking in a million pieces. I was sad, mad, and was even plotting the demise of certain characters if I had it my way.

Ian and Grace’s relationship is anything but easy. I loved watching them overcome their pasts so they could have a future together. Their story has some major Cinderella vibes and I loved that!

I’m so happy that we got glimpses of Jace and Faith in this book too! I loved their story and so glad we were able to get a little bit more of them.

Note: You can read this book as a stand-alone and enjoy it but I highly recommend you go back and read the first book before diving into this one!

Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.

Beautifully Broken

I’m so stuck on how to review this. It was such an amazing and wonderful tale of a pair of damaged souls who found the good in one another to put each other back together again. I thought I loved Jace, but baby brother Ian has stolen my heart. The relationship between Grace and Ian has by far been one of my favorites I’ve read. I’m hoping we get Mack’s story soon...hint, hint 😂

3.5 stars. The first half was just 3 stars for me due to the insta-lust but the second half was a solid 4 stars. The writing was poetic as is the author’s style and there was amazing character growth. The book had several tropes that I always enjoy reading and the suspense in the second half was well done.

As an avid AL Jackson fan, especially the first book in this series, I was super excited to get Ian’s story. Not going to lie, took me a little bit to get into it, however did it ramp up and end with a bang! I did NOT see some of that stuff coming. The pull between Grace and Ian is just sparkin! Like you can see that lightning bolt hit both of them when it comes to each other! I think the one thing that drew me into this story the most was Ian and how his character grew and developed. How he broke his own rules because he never felt anything like he did when he was with Grace. The whole story behind Grace is heartbreaking. I really wanted to smack Reed upside the head on more than one occasion!
Overall, this was a heartbreaking and emotional story that will really tug on your heart strings. It will show you how far someone will go to protect and help the ones that they love. Ian does just that even though it destroys his life in the process. But in the end, it was beautiful and oh so stunning! I highly recommend this one!

If you thought Jace was your favorite Jacobs brother just wait until you meet Ian, your heart just won't be the same. Ian and Grace's story was definitely one that will pull you in with the drama, angst, pain and passion that you will feel down to the depths of your soul. I was so immersed in this story I couldn't put the book down, it gave me all the feels yet had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation. This story was gripping, all-consuming, heart-stopping and an altogether breathtaking story about second chances in life when you find the one that makes you want to be a better person. Plus how can you go wrong with three adorable, funny little ones that will have you laughing out loud! Take a chance on Ian and Grace they are worth the risk!
