Everyone in this book except for Nick are horrible people and I love seeing horrible people do their horrible lives.

The dangers of maladaptive daydreaming.
Rich society is callous, careless and destructive. Aiming to enter into that social stratum will result in tragedy. Don't live in the past.
Jimmy Gatz, you had the makings of a kind, compassionate and wonderful man, if only you hadn't become so blinded.

Half a star taken away from this masterpiece for the jarring and horrible racial slurs and sexism that cropped up on occasion.

I found this book to be incredibly boring. I know this is considered a classic but I just could not get in to it. Some parts had beautiful writing but overall it was a snooze fest for me.
